Now in its 10th year, the partnership between the United Way of Greater New Bedford and New Bedford Community Connections Coalition has continued to strengthen and benefit children in New Bedford and the surrounding communities. Through collaboration and advocacy, New Bedford Community Connections Coalition works to create the conditions necessary for families to ensure the well-being and safety of their children.
Some of the objectives of the Community Connections include the following:
Working to promote the design and development of a one-stop Family Resource Center in its targeted neighborhood. Improving state and local services, resources, and support to youth in foster care. Promoting family-centered practice within our child and family welfare systems.
