• Selected retailers are asked to participate in this donor recognition program by providing a fixed discount for merchandise/services to Caring Club members.
• Eligibility for donors to join the Caring Club is an undesignated annual contribution of $156 ($3 per week) or more and by providing your home and email addresses.
• Caring Club membership card and number is valid for a one-year period.
• Qualified contributions after August 1, 2006 will be eligible to receive a Caring Club card. Cards will be mailed during the 1st Quarter of 2007 at the conclusion of United Way’s campaign.

Last year, 20,000 United Way donors would have qualified to be members of the Caring Club based on their giving levels. As we launch this exciting new program, we hope to significantly increase that number this year.

Qualified contributors during United Way’s 2006-07 campaign will be eligible to receive a Caring Club card. Cards will be mailed during the 1st Quarter of 2007.

The amount deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of the money contributed over the fair market value of the goods/services received in exchange for this contribution. The fair market value of the Caring Club card is $25. You may wish to consult your tax advisor with regard to your personal tax situation.
