Campaign Update
With the 2007 fundraising campaign quickly coming to a close, United Way is happy to report some positive giving trends.
Longstanding supporter, Southcoast Hospitals Group, one of our United Way’s largest contributors, posted a nearly $11,000 campaign increase.
DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson Co., which was recently sold to Indiana-based Symmetry Medical, has agreed to present United Way with a $64,000 gift for the 2007 campaign, representing both employee and corporate giving.
Comcast and AT&T, which have not run formal campaigns in a number of years, both invited United Way to be part of numerous on-site employee presentations and have shown increases in employee giving. In fact, Comcast’s employee giving increased by nearly 100%!
The Kennedy-Donovan Center ran a first time campaign with over 35% of employees participating and contributing over $3,500.
Target, in both Dartmouth and Wareham, as well as Lowe’s in Dartmouth, showed significant increases in employee giving. While retail establishments often present a challenge due to high turnover, increased visibility on the part of United Way is helping to strengthen these campaigns.
A $25,000 gift to the campaign was received from the Maurice Duchaine Trust, which, in 2006, also presented United Way with one of its largest endowment gifts in our 54 year history.
And more is yet to come! Stay tuned for final campaign numbers... |
